Dua is a heartfelt prayer in Islam — turning to Allah to seek guidance, help, forgiveness, and mercy. It is worship of the heart: acknowledging our need and Allah’s power. Below are selected Qur’anic and prophetic duas to recite and share.
رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَا أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.
اے ہمارے رب! ہم نے اپنی جانوں پر ظلم کیا، اور اگر تو نے ہمیں نہ بخشا اور ہم پر رحم نہ فرمایا تو یقیناً ہم نقصان اٹھانے والوں میں سے ہو جائیں گے۔

Surah Al-A’raf — 7:23رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
Our Lord! Grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes, and make us leaders for the righteous.
اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں اپنی بیویوں اور اولاد کی طرف سے آنکھوں کی ٹھنڈک عطا فرما، اور ہمیں پرہیزگاروں کا امام بنا۔
Qur’an 25:74رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Our Lord, give us good in this world and good in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.
اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں دنیا میں بھلائی دے اور آخرت میں بھلائی دے، اور ہمیں آگ کے عذاب سے بچا۔
Surah Al-Baqarah — 2:201بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing.
اللہ کے نام کے ساتھ جس کے نام کے ساتھ زمین و آسمان میں کوئی چیز نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتی، اور وہ سننے والا جاننے والا ہے۔
Abu Dawud, Tirmidhiرَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
My Lord, have mercy upon them as they brought me up when I was small.
اے میرے رب! ان دونوں پر رحم فرما جیسا کہ انہوں نے مجھے بچپن میں پالا۔
Surah Al-Isra — 17:24اللَّهُمَّ لَا سَهْلَ إِلَّا مَا جَعَلْتَهُ سَهْلًا وَأَنْتَ تَجْعَلُ الْحَزْنَ إِذَا شِئْتَ سَهْلًا
O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and You make the difficult easy if You wish.
اے اللہ! کوئی آسانی نہیں مگر وہ جو تو آسان کر دے، اور تو جب چاہے مشکل کو آسان کر دیتا ہے۔
Ibn Hibbanرَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
My Lord, increase me in knowledge.
اے میرے رب! میرے علم میں اضافہ فرما۔
